Kinanda Fest 9 (Tumehama Edition)- The Acts

A Sneak Peak on what to expect

ASALI
Asali(Swahili word for honey, honey that enlightens by bringing to light all that is in the dark.)This is the definition of the multi talented musician Melissa. Her music marries a fusion of Afro jazz and spoken word poetry. She is a voice of the voiceless-as manifested in her single "Red Roses" from the album "Baba Speaks"
Her poetry traverses the linguistic borders of both English and Swahili.

James Quest Photography
While on the production crew of a music television show, James got into pictures out of pure curiosity. Before he knew it, he loved photography and was getting paid for it. In a relatively short amount of time, James Quest has earned the trust and respect of top brands, creative agencies and photographers alike.
Anything worth being done is worth doing with passion. James Quest’s work is all over the African continent, and around the World. His work with cameras has allowed him the honor to work with many clients the world over, from East Africa to Congo, South Africa, the Middle East, the Americas, Canada, and New Zealand, just to name a few.

Kinandafest 9 - The " TumeHama" Edition

After taking a month off ,  Kinanda festival is back with the 9th edition. The Nairobi Kinanda Arts Festival is a monthly Arts extravaganza of music, poetry, visual art, creative writing, spoken word, film and street art offerings. It all happens over one Sunday afternoon at the end of each month.

The October edition marks the our move to an exciting new space exactly 650M  from Kifaru Gardens [our old venue]

INTRODUCING OUR NEW VENUE: KARI(KENYA AGRICULTURAL RESEARCH INSTITUTE)

Though we really loved it at Kifaru, it was evident we would soon have to move as more and more people have gotten to know about us . We listened to you, and have found a place that is more convenient, that has enough space for you, your family and your friends' friends'.... and has even better parking.[no more parking on the road!]

Our plan is still to keep making every edition of Kinanda memorable and exciting, for you.
Cheers
#TeamKinanda
